...ia ver o Yank: A World War II Love Story.

To say that Yank: A World War II Love Story is an unusual approach to examining the art of romance is like saying that The Invasion of Normandy was a “pretty well-coordinated effort” -- it’s an epic understatement. Deriving its name from the weekly military newspaper of the time (a publication for soldiers written by soldiers), Yank, a musical, follows Stu -- a young, Midwestern kid drafted into the U.S. Army in 1943, who finds himself not only afraid of the challenge of being a good solider, but fearful of his feelings towards his comrade, Mitch. A friendship leads to a kiss; then to a relationship basked in denial. As the story unfolds, it shows that a gay relationship is no exception to norm -- especially when it comes to the challenge of making it work.

till i hear you sing

David: I never had a birthday.
Há que tempos para ver este filme. Finalmente vi-o hoje.
a propósito do filme aqui em baixo, lembrei-me desta:

Clareece 'Precious' Jones: Some folks has a lot of things around them that shines for other peoples. I think that maybe some of them was in tunnels. And in that tunnel, the only light they had, was inside of them. And then long after they escape that tunnel, they sitll be shining for everybody else.

Jane and Louise Wilson were commissioned to make a work in response to The Stanley Kubrick Archives holdings. The resulting film focuses on Kubrick’s Aryan Papers project - a film about the Holocaust that Kubrick researched for many years, but which he never made.

james dean : resurrected
From concept to completion the new Allan Gray commercial was just over fourteen months in the making. A massive feat that took a combined team of well over a hundred and sixty people, not including extras. The commercial, Legend, asks us to consider the possibilities of a legend like James Dean had he been given more time. What would he have achieved? How might he have benefited society? The ad illustrates the importance of time in allowing potential to unfold. Both in life and in investing.

“We’re a telephone family, strung out along the wires, sharing our news in loops and daisy chains. We don’t meet face-to-face much, and when we do there’s a dematerialized feeling, as though only half of our molecules are present. Sad? Not really. We’re a busy bunch. And I’m not lonely. If I had to pick between knowing just a little about a lot of folks and knowing everything about a few, I’d opt for the long, wide-angle shot, I think.”

love never dies - new song!
Ou melhor, a canção principal segundo o próprio Webber. Foi ante-estreada numa amostra de banco patrocinador. Dá para ter uma ideia. Love Never Dies cantado pela nova Christine - a Ariel da Pequena Sereia da Broadway. The Phantom of the Opera daqui a uns dias? Ah, pois é.
